Drop Everything and Read!

Interim CEO Dr. Ralph Silva and Board President Ben Molina had a wonderful time reading to students at Gloria Hicks Elementary School during their Drop Everything and Read event — proudly representing the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend!

It was truly inspiring to see so many young readers filled with excitement for books and storytelling. Their energy and curiosity were contagious!

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible staff and students for welcoming us and making this event such a success. Together, we’re building a lifelong love of learning!

We are excited to share that the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Texas Bar Foundation during their Fall 2025 grant cycle!

This funding will support our Justice League: Youth in Action program — empowering local youth through civic education, mock trials, and mentorship from legal professionals. Thanks to this generosity, our Club members will gain confidence, leadership skills, and a deeper understanding of the judicial process.

We are truly grateful for partners like the Texas Bar Foundation who believe in our mission and invest in the bright futures of kids across the Coastal Bend.
